Bryn Masterman hit his wife Selina with a chair after an argument and then pushed her down the stairs 22 years prior to his conviction.
He killed her on 30 May 1965.
His wifes death had originally been registered as accidental after she flew down the stairs landing on her neck and went into a coma that she never recovered from.
Bryn Masterman who was a prison officer had boasted to his new wife about what he had done and she had arranged with the police to record the confession after which he was arrested.
Bryn Masterman had been a prison officer at the time of his conviction.
