Sandra Helen Riley was convicted of the manslaughter of her 8 year old son, Andrew Riley.
She drowned him whilst on probation for the infantcide of his two brothers.
When she drowned Andrew Riley and his last words were, 'dont kill me mum'.
She had had four children and they were all dead.
Sandra Riley also pleaded guilty to a charge of arson relating to a fire at her home a year earlier.
Anthony Riley was born in Novemver 1974, but later died from what at he time was described at the time as a cot death.
Andrew Riley was born in December 1976.
In February 1981 Christopher Riley was born, but Sandra Riley killed him a month later. An open verdict was returned at his inquest after it was found that he had died from aspyxiation.
Philip Riley was born in March 1893, But Sandra Riley killed him afer coming out of hospital for treatment for diarrhoea in May 1983.
Folloing admissions from Sandra Riley, investigations were carried out and Sandra Riley was convicted of the infanticide of her two babies at Chester in October 1983 and she was paced on two years probation.
The court heard that when Andrew Riley was born thaat he was made the subject of a place of safety order and put on the social services 'at risk' register by Cheshire County Council but was later removed in July 1979.
However, later on 11 April 1985 Sandra Riley went to a neighbours and clamed that Andrew Riley had taken some tablets. The neighbour went to see, but found him dead. However, it was later determined that he had drowned. Sandra Riley later made a statement saying that she held him under the water whilst he struggled for his life.
Following her conviction, Sandra Riley was orded to be detained in a secure psyciatric hospital.
