Oscar Jackson was convicted of the manslaughter of 45-year-old Grant Wallendorf.
He punched him outside Ickleford Sports and Recreation Club in Hitchin on 16 June 2024.
Grant Wallendorf suffered from a brain injury after an artery ruptured and later died in Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge.
They had both been drinking and had an argument in the car park afterwards. CCTV showed Grant Wallendorf gesticulating towards Oscar Jackson who then punched him.
Oscar Jackson was that Grant Wallendorf had called him discusting after he went to urinated in some bushes. He claimed that he thought he was then going to be assaulted and made a pre-emptive strike.
Oscar Jackson said the case rested on whether Oscar Jackson had hit Grant Wallendorf in self-defence.
However the jury found him guilty of manslaughter.
