Scott Jeff had started seeing Chelsea Gleason-Mitchell just 36 days before Isabella Jonas-Wheildon was found dead.
They had moved into temporary housing in Ipswich on 19 June 2023, just 11 days before Isabella Jonas-Wheildon was found dead.
The court heard that about three days before she was found dead that Chelsea Gleason-Mitchell had told a friend that her daughter was dead and had been sitting in her pushchair for three days and that she was going to start to smell.
They had previously lived in Biggleswade around the start of June 2023 and then in hostels in Norfolk as well as a night in a tent on the beach in Caister, in an effort to get away from Chelsea Gleason-Mitchell's mother.
When the police went to their home in Ipswich they found Chelsea Gleason-Mitchell beneath under a pile of blankets with traumatic injuries.
When they were arrested they had been on a night out at the Corn Exchange pub in Bury St Edmunds.
The court heard that Isabella Jonas-Wheildon had suffered crash-like injuries including broken and shattered bones.
They had been cocaine and cannabis users and were both convicted of cruelty to a child in relation to cocaine, and cruelty to a child in relation to cannabis.
