Marcus Osbourne was convicted of the murder of his 27-year-old ex-girlfriend Katie Higton and her 25-year-old partner Steve Harnett.
He killed them at a house in Harpe Inge, Dalton, Huddersfield on 15 May 2023.
He was said to have planned the attack and to have executed them over a period of several hours.
He had forced his way into their home armed with a knife and then waited for Katie Higton to return from the cinema.
He had previously shared the house with Katie Higton.
After stabbing Katie Higton 99 times he used her phone to lure Steve Harnett to her house and then stabbed him 24 times. It was noted that one of the wounds showed 'sadistic conduct'.
He was given a whole life order.
