John Hope Taylor murdered a woman who ran a snooker club on 11 March 1988.
He had previously suffocated a woman in 1978 or 1979 during sex and was convicted for her manslaughter and sentenced to 4 years.
After being released for the manslaughter sentence he later went on to break into a womans home where she was with her 12-year old daughter and sexually assaulted the woman and stabbed her. He was in the process of suffocating the 12-year old daughter when the woman pulled the knife out of herself and stabbed John Taylor. John Taylor was then sentenced to 7 years for wounding with intent.
