Damien Bendall was convicted of the murder of Terri Harris 35, John Bennett 13, Lacey Bennett 11 and Connie Gent 11.
He beat them to death with a claw hammer at a house in Chandos Crescent, Killamarsh, on 18 September 2022.
Damien Bendall had been seeeing Terri Harris after meeting her on a dating app.
He had been under the influence of cocaine and cannabis at the time of the murders.
When the police arrived at the house Damien Bendall said to the police, 'I've murdered four people', and 'I'm going back to prison'.
When the police went into the house they found John Bennett lying naked on the floor of the bathroom, dead. He had been about to take a shower.
They then found Terri Harris and Lacey Bennett in the main bedroom and it was later determined that Damien Bendall had raped Lacey Bennett twice, first downstairs and then again upstairs on the bed. Terri Harris had been pregnant at the time.
Connie Gent was then found dead in another bedroom.
After the murders, Damien Bendall stole John Bennett's games console which he tried to sell in order to get more money to buy drugs.
When Damien Bendall was interviewed by police, he said, 'I used a hammer. I did not realise what I did until I walked into my room and saw my missus and my daughter'. He later said, 'Bet you don't usually get four murders in Killamarsh do you? Well I mean five 'cause my missus was having a baby'.
