Douglas Barrington was convicted of the manslaughter of Edwin Payne.
He shot him at the corner of Fulham Road and Park Walk with a revolver.

Douglas Barrington had been a young cinema actor.
After the jury found him guilty of manslaughter, the judge said that the evidence before the jury would have, in his judgement, quite satisfied them in coming to the conclusion that Douglas Barrington was guilty of murder, but the didn't complain of their verdict.
