Steven Lund was convicted of the murder of a lorry driver, Norman Walton in 1980.
Norman Walton was homosexual and a lorry driver and had picked Steven Lund up as he was hitch hiking and took him home. After engaging in a homosexual act Steven Lund became so disgusted with what had happened between them that he beat him to death with a soda syphon.
In 1992 he escaped from a prison in Devon after unscrewing a window and ran off with a woman that had been visiting him in prison.
In 2017 he was convicted of the attempted murder of another man.
