David Hugh Main was convicted of the murder of his wife Joan Main 35.
She was his first wife and had disappeared in January 1973.
When she was found around 1993 in a garden soakway at a house that he had been working on he was charged with her murder.
David Main had been a plumber at the time and had been financially pressed. He murdered Joan Main and then crammed her body into a 45-gallon oil drum which he then sealed with concrete and buried in his garden.
