Liam Strang and Brian Gallacher were convicted of killing Stephen McGinlay 26.
Liam Strang was convicted of murder.
Brian Gallacher was convicted of culpable homicide. He was later convicted of the attempted murder of a man in 2023.
CCTV showed Liam Strang and Brian Gallacher arriving near the scene of the crime in a car and getting out and putting up the hoods on their clothes and then shortly after returning to the car.
Stephen McGinlay was stabbed in the neck and died from blood loss several days later.
Bran Gallacher 2023
Reece Govan and Bran Gallacher was convicted of the attempted murder of a 31-year-old man.
They shot him in the back in Dullatur, Cumbernauld on 23 January 2020, however, they hit a 56-year-old man and his dog in the crossfire, killing the dog.
The dog had been called Maltichon and was hit with 25 shotgun pellets.
They had attacked the man as he was arriving home, chasing him down a lane, stiking him with a machete and shooting him in the back. However, the man still tried to escape and they shot at him a second time and his the other man and his dog.
Bran Gallacher had a previous conviction for culpable homicide, having been involved with killing Stephen McGinlay in October 2014. He was sentenced to six years for the attempted murder in 2023.
Reece Govan also had a previous conviction for which he was sent to prison, being convicted in August 2016 but later being released in November 2018.
