Daniel Johnson and another youth murdered David Younes in 1996.
In September 2013 he stabbed and stranged his girlfriend Gemma Finnigan 24 and was convicted of her manslaughter.
David Younes was murdered on 3 November 1996 when Daniel Johnson and the youth were trying to steal a car in Kenton, Newcastle.They got into a confrontation with David Younes and Daniel Johnson hit him with a metal bar and the youth stabbed him multiple times. Daniel Johnson eas sentenced to 15 years but that was later reduced to 12 years.
After his release he met Gemma Finnigan and went to live at Church View, Boldon Colliery, South Tyneside, but began to think that she was possessed by the devil.
On 13 September 2013 he beat and strangled her at hteir flat and then went into the kitchen and got some kitchen knives and stabbed her 14 times in the front and back.
