Calvin Nelson, Paul Clinton and Victor Castigador were convicted of the murders two security guards, Ambikaipahan Apapayan 21 and Kandiahkanapathy Vinayagamoorthy 28 at Leisure Investments Amusement Arcade, Wardour Street where Victor Castigador had worked at a security guard. They were also convicted of 2 attempted murders.
Led by Victor Castigador who had a grudge with the company because he had not been promoted they robbed the arcade and set fire to the staff in the strong room. They arrived when the staff were counting up the money and locked them in a wire cage in the basement strong room, poured spirit on them, pushed paper through the wire and set fire to them.
Ambikaipahan Apapayan and Kandiahkanapathy Vinayagamoorthy died but the the relief manager and cashier survived by putting out their fires and breathing air through the keyhole until the morning.
The gang got away with £9k.
In 2016 Victor Castigador murdered Sidonio Teixeira who himself was alsoa convicted murderer. He murdered him on 20 June 2016 at HMP Long Lartin using a rock hidden in a sock. The rock had come from a fish tank.
Victor Castigador died in hospital on 21 March 2017 from a stroke caused by a blood clot in an artery. He was found in his cell on 18 March 2017 slumped down with his right side shaking in an erratic manner. He was distressed, and looked unwell and had a white frothy liquid around his mouth and had been sick. He was taken to hospital where he was put on life support but the life support was turned off on 21 March 2017.
