Jeremy Bamber was convicted of the murders of his step-father Nevill Bamber 61, step-mother June Bamber 61, step-sister Sheila Caffell 28, and Sheila Caffell's twins Daniel Caffell 6 and Nicholas Caffell 6.
They were all shot with a .22 rifle.
He arranged the scene to make it look like Sheila Caffell had carried out the murders and then committed suicide and continues to deny that he murdered them.
Nevill Bamber and June Bamber were married but were unable to have children and so they adopted Jeremy Bamber and Sheila Caffell.
Sheila Caffell was adopted by the Bambers when she was 8 weeks old. She later had twins Daniel Caffell and Nicholas Caffell.
This is a complex case that is well documented across the internet and in books and articles etc. Jeremy Bamber himself who maintains his innocence has a large and informative website on the case.
Jeremy Bamber has made a number of appeals over the years all of which have failed. However, in October 2019 it was reported that his defence team had found new evidence that prooved that he had made a call from his home at 3.36am, which was ten minutes after the prosecution stated he had made a call from White House Farm, which was three and a half miles away.
