Douglas Vinter was convicted for the murder of Robert Eden 24 in 1996 and served 9 years. After release he murdered his wife Anne White 40 on 11 February 2008.
in 2016 he was convicted for the attempted murder of Lee Newell, another convicted murderer, in HMP Woodhill.
Robert Eden was a train worker and Douglas Vinter was a railway signalman at the time. He stabbed him to death in a railway cabin in Middlesbrough.
After being released in 2005 he married Anne White although they went through a seperation at one point. At Anne White's mothers house whilst drunk and on drugs he strangled and stabbed her to death.
Douglas Vinter is 6 foot 7 inches and has taken steriods.
When sentenced for the murder of Anne White he was given a whole life tariff with the recommendation that he never be released from prison.
