Darren Pilkington killed his girlfriend Carly Fairhurst 19 when he knocked her down some stairs during a row in 2006.
In November 2000, he and his brother Andrew Wayne Pilkington killed Paul Akister 30 outside a pub in Wigan for which he served 4 years in a young offenders institute. He punched him to the ground and kicked him.
He was noted for having walked out of HMP Kirkham in May 2022. He was recaptured days later and sent to a higher security prison.
