Robert Davies was convicted of the murder of Marina Rimondi 21 in 1973 and then later for the murder of Graham Mills in 1989.

In 1989 he murdered Graham Mills who was a witness against him in an indecent assault case. He also fire bombed the homes of several other witnesses. He was on trial for indecent assault but went on the run on the second day and spent 6 months living rough in a quarry eating rabbits before returning to Newport with a Gurka knife and killing Graham Mills.
