Raymond Platt stabbed Marc Hayes through the heart and then wrapped his corpse up in carpet underlay and bin bags.
In 1995 he was cleared of stabbing Daniel Harley to death inside a taxi office in Govan.
After release he attempted to murder Edward Bennett in Govan, Glasgow, in July 2012.
