Carl Ellitts was convicted of the murder of Roy Deeley-Price.
He was initially sentenced to 27 years but his sentence was later increased to 35 years.
He attacked him in Tettenhall Road, Wolverhampton and left him to die on 28 May 2023.
Carl Ellitts had committed a string of offences over the three days before he approached Roy Deeley-Price as he was going to a petrol station on Tettenhall Road. they were seen in CCTV in conversation after which Carl Ellitts knocked him down and then held him down by the throat.
He then stamped on him and dragged him into a bush where he continued to assault him.
His post mortem showed that he died from multiple blunt force injuries to his face and head.
Carl Ellitts had earlier raped a woman early hours of 26 May after she approached him in St Peter's Square.
Sometime later he demanded a man give himm some money ad he took him to a cash machine to get some.
Later that evening he raped a second woman who approached him, concerned that he was homeless.
The next day he stole a man 's bag in the street and dragged him to the floor.
The following day he threatened a man with a knife who had just taken some money out of a cash machine, however, the man pushed him aside.
Later that day he robbed a man in Tettenhall Road, kicking him to the floor and taking his Nike trainers from his feet.
The next day he robbed and killed Roy Deeley-Price.
Carl Ellitts was arrested the following day, 30 May 2023.
